A strong return! Hopefully the DOMS doesn't get you over the weekend.

    Welcome back, carson.

It's been a rather long time since I've had DOMS but I have them today. By Monday all should be well. Just muscles...they woke up.

I'm coming back from the 3 week lay off. I still have some way to go. However, my ohp was pretty good.

    Squat: 70 x 5 (paused); 120 x 3; 160 x 1; 205 x 3; 105 x 2 (paused)
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 3; 85 x 1; 92.5 x 2; 72 x 8 x 2 Maybe i'm getting my form and some consistency.
    Dead: 135 x 3; 225 x 2; 285 x 0. 1;307 x 0; 225 x 5 I have some rebuilding to do.

These last months haven't been wasted by any means but for lifting I'm losing strength. I'm hoping I can regain what I lost and move onto some new goals.

However, a couple of good things have happened. I wrote my first book which is advertised and sold on Amazon. Carson D. Lauffer, "The Healing of a Soul: From Poverty and Anger to Peace and Contentment". It's part autobiography, part psycho-social study, part philosophy, and part theology. It can easily be used as a guide book for spiritual growth and for child rearing.

I have so far been interviewed twice. First, on the radio which can be found on the net by going to "Light of the East" which was broadcast on Sat. the 16th and Sunday the 17th.
Second, on RadioMaria.us on the program "Beyond the Veil".

Check them out you may enjoy the book and the interviews.

I wish that were true, Mr. Bingley, but I will keep at it and hopefully restart my gains. It's a joyful thing to keep at it and that should build my strength. Three surgeries and layoffs in 9 months following months of interruption by the governments over whatever the heck it is has caused some problems. Even John Claassen, our 95 year old client, has lost ground during this goofy period.

I'm curious here, if you'll indulge me. How do you determine your sets and reps?
