Continuing Star Protocol. I did not do air squats every day and it caught up with me today. But I did them today:

Air Squats: 10 x 5 I kept my left knee out.
Press: 45 x 5;65 x 5 They weren't required today but the movement helped to stretch the muscle in a different way
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 135 x 1; 150 x 1; 132 x 5 x 3 Not much difficulty but I concentrated to use force from the floor so as to stretch the muscle.
    Dead: 75 x 5 x 3 Look to lift heavier on Monday
    Prowler: 10 x 6 x 3

Thanks, Richard and everyone else who has offered encouragement. The problem with working with old people is that we are breaking down a bit more often than young people. Still, we are confident that being strong is making that more tolerable and life a bit sweeter. Star protocol continues with less pain.

Air Squats: 10 x 5 I'm getting depth and am really concentrating on my left knee staying out.
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 3; 85 x 1; 95 x 1; 100 x 1; 80 x 5 x 2
    Dead: 85 x 5 x 3
    Prowler: 20 x 6 x 3

The pain is lessening and has moved down an inch or so from the groin. Sully says that that is a good sign.

Carson, you are my hero. But, I'm coming for you.
You have the heart of a lion.
I have a friend who is 79. I am talking to him about lifting weights.
You are an inspiration. My friend is a recent type 2 diabetic.
Do you suppose a sensible approach as recommended in "The Barbell Prescription" might make a difference?

That is a slam dunk. Look at you!
Do we need to be careful? sure.
    Is this powerful medicine. ABSOLUTELY!
    Tell Sully he's a genius.

That Sully is a genius, especially as he pulls back on the reins and gets you back to squatting faster than you would if left to your own devices, carson. Continue to mend well!

Thanks to all of my lifting buddies for your encouragement. I wish you all a wonderful upcoming Christmas for all the twelve days of Christmas. I won't lifting until the third day of Christmas.

On the Third day of Christmas I'm still doing fairly light stuff but with no pain except a little during squats.

    Squat: Air x 5; 70 x 5 (paused); 85 x 5 x 3 (paused).
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 3; 85 x 1; 95 x 1; 80 x 5 x 2.
    Dead: 135 x 5 x 2; 185 x 1; 205 x 1; 225 x 1 No pain
    Prowler: 30 x 6 x 2
