I confess, I'm getting really ansy to be in another live competition. It's really fun. I feel like I'm running in deep sand and not getting very far. Sigh...

The saying goes "if you pray for patience God will give you things that require patience." I guess I'm impatiently waiting for patience.

May I suggest some Norman Vincent Peale for further inspiration?

He had many good things to say. The Crystal Cathedral guy did and so does Mr Trump.

Let's hope I can make this report. I'm clearly on the way back.

    Squat: 70 x 5 (paused); 120 x 3; 160 x 1; 180 x 1; 190 x 1; 150 x 3; 120 x 5 Gain without pain.
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 3; 85 x 1; 92.5 x 1; 77.5 x 5
    Dead: 135 x 3; 185 x 2; 225 x 1; 185 x 3

    Now, finally, upward and onward,

Take a deep breath and celebrate your progress.
Consider how impossible your current line of deads was before you started.
You have muscle memory and mental training that will bring things back more quickly this time.
    There is wisdom in gratitude.

Your correction is much appreciated. I am grateful that I can lift at all. God is good.

    Getting closer to PRs

    Squat: Air x 5; 70 x 5 (pause); 140 x 3; 160 x 1; 180 x 1; 200 x 1; 160 x 3; 130 x 5. Even with wraps knees were snapping, crackeling, and popping. They quieted down around 160. Only 71 pounds to go for a pr.
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 135 x 1; 155 x 1; 162 x 1; 142 x 5 x s Only 24 pounds to go for a pr.
    Dead: 135 x 5; 225 x 2; 250 x 1; 270 x 1 Easy peasy. Only 106 pounds to go for a pr.

    Heavy day Monday. Wonderful!

I needed no music for these weights but we all listened to Meatloaf to honor his passing.
