I thought so. If we get to Chicago again I will check it out.
Well, off to lifting the sand bags and dumbbells.

On Monday June 8 we will get back in the gym for reorientation. I don't know if we will be doing any lifting or not.
On Monday June 15 we will start a new LP. My wife and I do the cleaning and watering of plants for the gym. During normal times it's twice a week. Since March it's been only once per week. I've been tempted to do my lifts in the gym but have resisted.

We must wear masks and will be checked for tell tale signs of ...whatever the hell this is...before we can enter the gym. I hope it does not take terribly long to get back to where we were in February.

That phrase is one i hope to never see or hear again. While the virus was real enough the reaction to it was a power grab to find out how easily we could be cowed. Based upon what the masses did their will be very bad days ahead. It disgusts me.

Nevertheless, we did restart. We did what we were instructed to do in order not to harm Sully's small business. It was good to back at it even with masks and fogged up glasses. It did affect breathing but not nearly as bad as I thought it might. We set a base for a new LP.

    Squat: 70 x 5; 90 x 5; 120 x 3; 145 x 3; 155 x 5 x 2 No problem.
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 5; 75 x 3; 85 x 5 x 2
    Dead: 135 x 5; 225 x 3; 315 x 1; 275 x 3

Many hand washings and disinfecting benches and equipment.

We entered by the rear door and exited the front door.

Still eagerly awaiting normality to return and our governor impeached.

I'm thinking that since I did better than I expected that I may reach my previous levels by the end of this months. I'd be a very happy camper if that were to take place. I wonder if I could start asking for racks, bars, plates and a good bench for father's day, Christmas and birthday presents. I don't know where I would put them but who knows.

There are several phrases I've heard the last few months that I hope to not hear again. Virtually none of them make any sense and all of them have been used as an excuse to destroy the country. The best I can do is try to ignore them.

Virtually no soreness. The sessions were shortened so that we could get out before the next group comes in. The cautionary activities mean little medically but could mean the end of his business if he doesn't follow them. The screwiness of the situation could mean trouble for him even when he follows them, but I think he's fairly safe. We are a small gym and may be under the radar...we hope.

    No real soreness.
