Another light day. Not my favorite day.

    Squat: 70 x 5 (paused); 120 x 3; 160 x 1; 185 x 5 x 2
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 125 x 1; 136 x 5 x 2 (Getting off of the bench is the hardest part of the lift. I must get back to work on my sit ups.)
    Dead: 135 x 5; 225 x 2; 275 x 1; 295 x 3

    Lifting at the Clinic

    Squat: 70 x 5 (paused); 120 x 3; 160 x 1; 175 x 1; 187.5 x 5 x 2
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 3; 80 x 1; 87.5 x 5 x 2 My form is getting better.
    Dead: 135 x 5; 225 x 3; 295 x 1; 315 x 0 x 0 x 1; 330 x 1 Darned weights wouldn't come off the mat. Rested 3 minutes and the 315 flew up. 330 went up fairly easy as well.

A good day at the clinic.

    Squat: 70 x 5 Paused; 160 x 3; 185 x 1; 192.5 x 5 x 2; 162.5 x 5; 100 x 5 Paused
    Press:45 x 5; 70 x 3; 80 x 1; 90 x 5 x 2
    Dead: 135 x 5; 225 x 3; 300 x 1; 332.5 x 1; 297.5 x 3

I'm getting closer to where I was in March. It's good. Breathing is a bit of a challenge with the mask and all.

I didn't realize you were in your mid 70s. In my very limited experience it seems like most guys your age are not even capable of performing all the movements. Strong deadlift too.

I'm slowly moving up to where I was in Mid-March before the lock down. I now lift at a private clinic wearing a mask and washing several times during the sessions. At 73 I hope to reach that goal by the end of August or early at least by mid-September. Deadlift 375; Squat 267.5; Bench 185; Press 128. My ultimate goal is D-405; S 305; B 200; Press-135.

Prowler or some HIIT would help but the mask prevents that. My wife lifts as well. The lock down has played havoc with our goals.

BTW we have a client who is 93. He's a very dedicated lifter. He lives in a nice retirement center but is still confined to his room. Amazingly his spirits are high and he is mentally sharp. He even lifted in a competition in Chicago last October.

I'm getting better at my lifts though I think the most improvement is with the press. I anticipate a PR come September and a PR in Dead and Bench in October. November may bring a PR in Squat. This lock down, needed or not, has played havoc with my goals.
