HLM Heavy, Light, Medium is the method I'm doing now. This was the light day which means I don't even do deadlift. When using this method My best singles for each lift were Dead: 375; Squat: 270; Bench: 185;Press: 128. I hope to reach and surpass those numbers by year's end.

I'm slowly phasing into HLM myself. Currently only deads, but I anticipate squats soon. I'm staying away from a ton of volume, mostly because I do things other than lift and would like to keep it that way. I know how I feel know after 5x3 of heavy squats and I suspect that a 5x5 of the same weights would really beat me up. And that's counterproductive.

Those are some great singles there, carson. I look forward to seeing you surpass those by the close of the year.

Most of my logs are in my eye, at least that's what Jesus taught.

We've finally been able to visit face to face with our older son and their three children. We had not done that since Christmas 2019 and a very brief visit over Pentecost 2020.

Our lifting in May has been sporadic because we got sick of being stuck in Michigan. We traveled to Williamsburg-Jamestown, and Chicago. Great fun. We were with our older son and family for four days but exhausted it was nice to be back in the gym even though it was another light day.

    Squat: 70 x 5 (paused); 160 x 3; 185 x 1; 205 x 5 x 2; 100 x 5 (paused)
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 135 x 1; 145 x 1; 156 x 1; 110 x 8 x 3
    Prowler: 55 x 6 x 3

It looks like June is going to be more sporadic than May was. After struggling with decreasing eye sight I finally decided to get Cateract surgery. Right eye got it this am. Can't lift for about 2 or more weeks. Left eye will be on the 17th. Again no lifting for 2 weeks. That pretty much wipes out June.

God willing, I will be back.
