Well that's a mixed bag. Great news on getting the surgery done (and scheduled), but not so good on the lifting moratorium (although that's understandable). No doubt that you'll keep yourself gainfully occupied. Recover well, Carson.

Thank you gentlemen. Gardening and long walks are going to be my near future. I do need to walk more, so that's a positive. I do plan to be back to lifting. I just don't want to tear open the surgery that I have and will have by straining.

If all goes well, I hope to be back in July. The habit has grown on me. My wife enjoys it but her health isn't so good. We believe she is much better for the training than if she weren't training. We may not make the Olympics but our lives are better for it.

I just had an eye exam and the doc said I have slight cataract development so far. I'll hold off as long as I can until there's a problem.

My sympathies and best wishes for your wife. DB has some chronic pain from arthritis and injuries that make it hard and painful to lift and even do pool exercise. All the result of a very athletic youth that got her a cracked pelvis and cervical vertebra from different athletic disasters in middle school and college. My own list of injuries is legion, but I have had the good fortune of recovering from them quite in pretty good shape. Hurling DNA and skeletal structures seem fairly durable.

Best wishes for you and your wife. My wife's brother just had his right eye done Monday and he is doing well. You should too.

And you are right about the training as far as improving ones life.
