Nice man; your squats are right around my personal bests at this point (For instance, I've done a set of 365x5, but I've never done 6 reps of 365 in a single session, as you just did). I'm not even close right now. I'll just have to live vicariously through you for a little bit, huh?

Way to fight through your triples!

Thanks Geoff! Here's hoping I can make the gains worth living vicariously through.

    4/12/19
    Press 142.5x8x3 (8PR)
    CGBP 202.5x5x3
    Dips 45x7x3

Wasn't entirely into being at the gym today, but happy I made it. My rhythm on the press felt off. Just didn't feel in the groove with breathing and getting tight between reps on the longer set. CGBP was pretty smooth again. Feel like it still has lots of room to grow, and that it should keep helping my other lifts. My left shoulder, which I separated chickening out of a backflip a few years ago, has been feeling a little wonky lately. Was bugging me a bit warming up for my presses, and ever so slightly during dips. Just something to monitor.

    Squats VD 320x4x6
    Neutral chins myo reps 11,3,3,3

Decided to keep going after 5 rep PRs on the deadlift, because I think they're still there and I'd like to get my deadlift a bit further ahead of my squat. These didn't feel the best from a form standpoint, but they were pretty manageable. Was just having trouble getting my back as set as I'd like. Still experimenting with my volume squats. This time I'm trying 4x5, 6x4, then 5x5 at a new weight before upping it. So far so good.

    Bench 192.5x8x3 (8PR)
    Pin press 170x2x1, 160x3x2
    Incline bench 175x6x3

Mixed bag today. Bench felt pretty good. Pin presses weren't really there. Only got 2 at 170, so backed off to 160 and got them in. Upped the weight on the incline and could only get sets of 6. So main lift was fine, other lifts less so. I'll take it. Thinking it might just have been that I was feeling pretty crushed from yesterday's squats and deads. Normally if I'm going to go back to back on workouts, I like the lower body to follow the upper body. Sometimes my weeks just shake out like this.

    Deadlift VD 315x5x2
    Machine high rows 40-30-5 @50

Got all my singles in today, and only the last one felt a bit grindy. Feels like four plates is in sight. I'm almost tempted to try a bit of a taper and test it out, but that's probably not the best idea for my training. Deads felt fine. Was really focusing on setting my back, and think I did a pretty decent job today. Was running out of time, so instead of barbell rows I went all bodybuilder and just chased a quick pump with some timed sets on short rest.

    CGBP 205x5x3
    Dips myo reps BWx15,3,3,3,3,3
    500m C2 sprint 1:41

This is a sets across PR! Last time I did 152.5x5 it was on TM intensity day, and I dropped to triples the week after. I have no doubt that 155x5 will go up next cycle, based on how today felt. CGBP is still LPing up nicely. 205 was pretty manageable with no real grinding required. Forgot my dip belt at home, so I just did them body weight and myo rep style. Decided to try a 500m C2 sprint, and I almost puked afterwards, so that was fun!

The five rep deadlift PRs just keep coming! Got my girlfriend to film them, and I'm still not happy with my back. It's hard to tell if it's set enough because I'm somewhat kyphotic. It's not like it's rounding as I pull, I just can't usually get it as nice and flat as others. Don't think it's anything dangerous though. Squats were fine. Time to up the weight next week. Chins weren't really there, but I was a little sore from Friday still. Not too worried about it.

Bench PR! Not just for a single set on intensity day either. This was casual sets across. I mean, I know my bench is still poverty, but I'm really excited to see how far this 8/5/2 can go. Pin presses weren't really there last time, but I felt them out and was able to go up a bit. Didn't have time to do my incline bench, so I busted out some quick decline push-ups myo reps style instead.

Squats were interesting. My last couple of 5s I felt a bit dicey about whether I'd be able to get them done. This one was never in doubt, but form felt all over the place. Everything else was just peachy.

Another press PR today, but the second rep was sloooooow to lock out, and I almost lost it forward after locking it out. CGBP felt good and strong today, and so did the dips. Hit some curls for something to do while resting between sets of CGBP, because why not? Solid day!
