    There is a lot of anti endurance training sentiment on this site, but from long experience training for endurance is very useful to get ready for a day of Skiing. Ideally I would have worked up to
    45lbs x 60 reps x 2 sets before the trip, but what I did manage was helpful. Had a great time with the grandkids on the mountain!

    Monday 3/4/19
    224.5 lbs, 26.7% BF

    Squats (endurance) +10 reps, 45x35x2

    Press, 85x5x3

    Tuesday, 3/5/19
    224.5 lbs, 27% BF

    Bench, +2.5 lbs, 137.5x5x3

    Cable pull downs, +10 lbs, 180x8 x6 x5 Couldn't do the 180x8x3! Need to work on these more!

    Thursday 3/7/19
    225.2 lbs 27.2% BF

    Squats: 45x35x3

    Then I went on the skii trip. Great fun!

    217 lbs (!!) 25.4% BF (1 day into a 3 day fast. The water weight drops like a rock!)

    It’s been quite a while since my last post. I’ve lost 20 lbs via time restricted eating and a once a month 3 day fast. The result is that my blood pressure is back where it needs to be and other blood markers are improved. Howerever I have lost some strength. This was only partly caused by the weight loss. The other factor was that I had to get into aerobic shape for my annual guy trip: 4 days of ATV riding in the high passes of CO and so spent a month ramping up my cardio at the expense of lifting. I’m back at the lifting again with LP. When I get back to intermediate programming I’ll start posting again.
