    Modified LP W2D3

    Squat: 385x5, (5PR!) 350x5x2 Video of 5PR at Geoffrey Bischoff on Instagram: “385x5. 5PR! Hard fought again. SDG. #wendler531 #power #powerlifting #texasmethod #teamssoc #linearprogression #madcow5x5 #strong…”

Two 5PRs in a week? Dang.

    Rows: 225x8x3

    Bench: 290x5x3

First set paused, last two sets TnG. This one was tough; I don't know if I've got 295 on Monday. But a sets across PR again.

    Modified LP W3D1

    Squat: 390x4 (4PR), 355x5x2 Video of top set at Geoffrey Bischoff on Instagram: “390x4. 4PR yay! I was aimong at 5 though. SDG #wendler531 #weights #power #powerlifting #linearprogression #teamssoc #texasmethod…”

So a PR is good. But I should have had 5. But I skipped breakfast. Almost quit altogether but got my backoff sets in.

    Bench: Warmup through 275x1

I really need to eat before the gym. Almost passed out under the bar on 275x1; ground it out and breathed for awhile, feeling lightheaded.

Still thinking through this ... I didn't get bench volume to drive Friday's progress, so I'm not sure what I'll do then. But I got some squat volume; I think I'll just repeat 390 on Friday.

Skipped rows; had a military funeral. Had to get into my pretty dress uniform. I have gained about 2" in my neck since I last wore it. I prayed harder getting that button buttoned than I have on any other topic this week.

A volume PR: Most multiset reps at this weight (15).

Tomorrow? I'm feeling a bit under.

    Modified LP W4D1?

    Squat: 315x8x3

    Bench: 230x8x3

Gonna LP some 8s for awhile. 8-rep sets mean lighter weights, but still heavy enough to be "work." I need some lighter weights right now. Diet is poor, sleep is poor. Mom's in hospital three (?) days now with some routine stuff that turned serious, so I've been back and forth to the ward a bunch of times to stand watches with Dad.

In other news: Holy smokes. 8 reps is cardio for realz.

    Press: 155x8, 8, 7

Well I picked the wrong weight for presses looks like. Wups.

    Modified LP W4D3

Squat: 330x8x3 (8PR) (Multiset PR: Highest weight for 24 reps in one workout)

Bench: 235x8x3 (8PR) (Multiset PR: Highest weight for 24 reps in one workout)

    Curl: 50x10x3

So, technically I'm in PR country, but really only because I have next to zero 8-rep data. As for curls ... it was either do these or do rows, and I didn't want to do rows. At 50lbs on a barbell, they were plenty light so that my form was perfect. No body-English at all. When did I curl last? Some time in 2017. When will I curl again? Tune in to next week's episode of "Nobody Cares About Curling!"

    Modified LP W5D1

Morning: Bench: 240x8x3 (8PR) (Multiset PR: Highest weight for 24 reps in one workout)

So this short Active Duty tour puts me right down the hall from a gym that's equipped for bench, press, and deads (but not squats unless I wanna go without safety arms). And for benches, heck ... I don't even have to change, just do em in uniform. This worked out really well today, allowing me to get the lighter work in pre-lunch.

Afternoon: Squat: 385x1, 405x1, 420x1 (PR!), 365x3x5 (Multiset PR: Highest weight for 15 reps in one workout)

    Curl: 55x10x3

So a big day for squats, and no video because I walked in thinking "I'm either gonna do 335x8x3, or 360x5x3, so who cares?" As I loaded 420 on the bar I briefly considered grabbing the tripod but decided I didn't want to mess with my groove.

    A great day. SDG

Great job on the PRs, even if a lot of them are in the unknown 8's range. The 420 and 365 PRs are pretty awesome. Looking for that curl LP to 225 with a VERY healthy amount of assist on the way up. You can do it!!

Dude ... a 225lb curl would be awesome if it meant a 315 press to go with it!

    Modified LP W5D2

    Press: 170x5, 5, 5, 5, 8 (8PR) (Multiset PR: Highest weight for 28 reps in one workout)

I'm dropping off the 8s and doing more of Delgadillo's recommended TM for press (which means some singles across are coming Friday)

DL: 415x4x3 (Multiset PR: Highest weight for 12 reps in one workout)

Week 5 of 6 done of Andy Baker's 6wk deadlift improvement program. Next week I test and hopefully get a new single.

So ... hard to call this a LP in any meaningful sense. I don't rightly know what to call it other than "upper lower split 3day." But right now, M:Sqt/Bn W: DL/Prs F: Sqt/Bn is workout out just fine so why mess with it? I'll keep tweaking the volume/intensity in there and try to populate my PR board. Most efficient path to maximum strength? Nah. But it's doing the job for me, physically and psychologically, right now.
