    Squat - 320x3x5

    Despite being 20 lbs under what I hit last week, this didn't feel easy at all. I mean, I wasn't at failure or worried I would have to go to the safeties, but several slow reps in there.

    Well this workout was fairly easy. I probably should have gone 5 lbs lighter instead of 10, and I'll do that the next time I have a one of these recovery weeks.

    Squats felt good. Last warm up of deadlifts had me worried but the working set was good to go, no issues. End to deload week. Back to the cycle next week.

    Bench - 237.5x3x5
    Press - 140x5x3

    Bench felt pretty good on the first set, didn't have a slow last rep. Second set felt harder with pretty slow last rep, final set the 4th rep was real slow and last rep was a full on nail biting grind where I wasn't sure I was going to get the bar back up, but I did. Press wasn't bad but I don't think my bar speed was that great. Not complaining however.

    SLD - 275x3x8
    Chin Ups - Purple and Red band 10,9,7

    I was pretty scared going into the squat after how hard 340 two weeks ago was. This was hard, but not nearly as hard and grindy as before. I think I did a better job of using the bounce, or stretch reflex, coming out of the hole this time. 5th rep on 2nd and 3rd squats were a grind, but not nearly every rep, so was happy with it. Stiff leg deadlift went pretty good. Lost a rep on the second set of the chin ups, but had a week away from it so no biggie there.

    CGB - 217.5 8,5,5
    LTE - 92.5 10,9,6

    Press went well. Last rep on second set was a grind but I think that was due to a loss of concentration. 3rd set was much better. Close grip bench was a pass, barely got the 8th rep up on the first set. The lying tricep extension has been stuck here and I have reverted a little so I'm going to reset to 85 next week and move it up from there.

    Shrugs - 275x3x20

    Speed on squats was disappointing today. Happy with the deadlift as I hit a PR. It was challenging enough I'm moving to 5 lbs jumps as I move forward. Shrugs were pretty hard today. Good end to the week with the deadlift.

    Good day. Bench went well. Last rep of the last set was slow but I knew I had it. Press I had good bar speed, so successful start to the week.

    RDL - 280x3x8
    Chin ups - purple and red band 10,9,8

    I haven't done triples on the squat for a while and this was going to be a 15 lbs pr but it wasn't bad. Second set was rough but final set went well with a slow final rep. Romanians were decent, legs felt a little twitchy following squats so it was a weird sensation. Chin ups I had slight progress from last week so I'll continue on.

    CGB - 220 7,5,5 * first fail at this weight
    LTE - 85x3x10

    Press was bit of a challenge but I maintained concentration and pushed through a few tough reps. Close grip bench went well, and I think if I had really gone for it for an 8th rep on the first set I might have had a pass, but 7th was slow enough I didn't push for it. Lying tricep extension was a little tougher than I was expecting so it's a good thing I dropped down in weight when I did.
