    Squat: 405x1, 315x5x3

    Deadlift: 405x5, 4, 3

Deadlift Rx was 405x4x3, for 12 reps. I went 5/4/3 again to hit a new 5-rep target.

210x4 is bittersweet. I really wanted 5 reps. 5 reps at 210 would be a LIFETIME personal best. Getting it for 4 reps is a tie for my best set of 4. So ... yay! Five months after elbow surgery, I'm tied for my best set of 4. And ... boo! Missed rep 5. I was mad enough I took a 2-plate single afterwards just to prove to myself I could.

    Bench: 305x5, 4, 3

12 rep Rx, took it in 5/4/3.

    Squat: 340x5, 4, 3

Rx was 340x3x4. Wanted to be done in 3 sets; went 5/4/3

    Deadlift: 440x1, 375x3x3

Just did what was on the page this time. Barbells at the off-brand gym I had to go to on a Saturday were slippery garbage.

    First lifetime PR post-surgery. Hallelujah.

Now, it's not super-exciting: First, because it's 8 reps and the "holy of holy" PRs are in ranges of 1 to 5 for me. Second, because on a really great day, I once took 285 for 10, so ... heh.

But still ... I'm counting it, because that's the best set of exactly 8 that I have ever done.

Yeah, rest of last week was brutal. No more lifts after that bench/press session.

Bench: 290x8 (8PR!), 7, 5 Video of top set at Login • Instagram

Rx was four sets of fahve, for 20 reps. I squeezed it into 3 sets and got a PR out of it.

    Press: 202.5x5, 4, 3

12-rep RX of triples; I squeezed this into 3 sets as well.

    Press: 210x3, 180x5x3

    Bench: 310x5, 2

Presses moved like butter. Bench ... not so much. Lame. This was supposed to be 12 reps, but I tried for 6 on set one. Missed 6th rep, but spent enough time and energy missing it that I was torched and done.

    Squat: 345x5, 4, 3

12rep Rx; got it in 3 sets.

    Deadlift: 445x1, 380x6, 3

Backoffs were Rx triples; got a 2-for-1 set.

I'm on a 15-day trip to WA State to visit wifey's family. Only one trip to the gym that entire time. Kitsap Naval Station. Equipment is meh, and a 12-day layoff since last lift, and I'm down about 4lbs during vacation (I tend to eat to activity level; if I'm not doing stuff I'm not eating stuff.) So ... I guess today went okay all things considered.

    Squat: 415x1, 325x5x2

A new +5 on best post-op squat single.

    Press: 210x4, 175x5, 3

A tie for best set of 4 on press post-op. Backoffs though ... that repaired elbow started to hurt and I aborted.

    Bench: 315x2, 225x1

Supposed to be a triple on top; backoffs were supposed to be 295 but I really started to hurt.

    Deadlift: 405x1

Slippery bar ... this was supposed to be last warmup before working sets but I was hurting and frustrated. I'll probably need to take some backwards steps on load when I get back, and retake some lost ground on all the lifts.

Acute pain in the repaired elbow right now. I've had worse since the surgery, and it usually passes within 72 hours or so. I'm hoping for similar this time.

Ouch. What happened to your elbow?
