Thanks Ryan. I hope the same for you and yours.

Arctic blast commencing tonight, with single digit highs the next couple of days and lows well below zero. Really helping consolidate that snow. And keep the crowds down!

Notes Beginning of maintenance season. Even though I spread out this year's "Mock Meet" over all of last week, I am still beat down from it today. So this week, all lifts will be light, especially as I incorporate more cardio as snowboarding season begins.
    - SQ - Light day. Nothing about these felt light after the 185x1 warmup rep; I even considered changing to a 75-80% light day, instead of this, my standard 92% light day. But I stuck to the plan. All good.

Notes Our arctic outbreak temps bottomed out this morning at -10F (wind chill ~ -25F) and we'll be warming up through next week, so hopefully this is as cold as the garage gets. Needless to say, the bar is cold! Yep, I know the options to mitigate that, but whatevs.
    - OP - Light day. All good.
    - RP - Maintenance season heavy pulls are going to alternate each week between rack pulls and halting deadlifts for one set. I may even just keep rolling with it next spring/summer, a programming suggestion that Chase gave me back in September, running them independently of the 3-week cycles that comprise the 4-Day Heavy/Light split program that treated me so well this year. Today, as an experiment, I dropped my standard 65x5x3 power cleans as a warmup for this, as I was moving quite a bit and felt sufficiently warm, although I will likely stick with them as I want to keep the movement pattern fresh, even if I am not training them. But the rack pulls? All good and smooth, surprisingly since I haven't performed a single one since 6/17/22.
