I hope it turns out to be nothing for you but as we get older it seems like if you just sneeze wrong you can hurt yourself...at least for me lol.

    Thanks Fred!

Don't I know it, especially after last summer's shoulder tweak brought on by a nap. That took several months to work out.

So far, this doesn't seem like much. The Cleans went just fine, and I'm not protecting it moving around the house and up and down the stairs. The resident massage therapist is working different spots up and down the leg, both front and back. So we'll see. I'm moving onward and upward with my program until it tells me otherwise.

Notes Well, whatever that snapping sound/sensation in my right quad during the squats on Tuesday doesn't seem to be much. I still have some odd sensation in that area that reminds me that something happened, but nothing that should hinder anything. I've been moving normally and throwing in ass-to-grass body weight squats throughout the days. And for today's workout, instead of my normal 10' row, I'll go back to my pre-rower warmup of 45x10x3 squats to get the blood flowing. Tomorrow's 90% "light" squat day should be informative.
    - BP - Heavy sets across. All good. I would put "smooth and steady," but my bench at and above 185lbs always lives up to Fred's description of "Elvis' Shaky Legs."
    - OP - Light sets across. All good.

Now I'm laughing...I have never had that happen doing anything before in my life. I will add weight so that I cannot hold it that long in the future.

    Great 3x5 by the way!!

    Haha!

It has always happened for me. For whatever reason. I don't worry about it and typically don't even pay attention to it, but then you mentioned Elvis' Shaky Legs and that visual had me cracking up.

    Notes
    - RP - Heavy set. Overall, a good set. I lost focus on rep #4 and started pulling once the bar was off the safeties, so it was going slower than it needed to until I regained my focus and pushed the floor away. I maintained that focus for a brutal grind of a final rep, but it locked out.
    - SQ - Light sets across. All good.

Nice lifting Bill. I checked out your setup after your 4 day split comment in the programming section.

Cheers cole. I do hope that you sort out your programming and get back on track for this year's meets.

Notes It's a toasty 62F today, so the garage is vented and I'm sweating like I haven't in a while (not counting HIIT workouts). Not that I mind that, but I have been enjoying this prolonged cool spring.
    - SQ - Heavy Triples across. No changes to the planned program after last week's weird snapping sound/sensation in my right quad during the third set, which led to a fourth set cut short since it was affecting my form. Any discomfort/sensation was gone within 48 hours and I haven't had any issues since, other than a very minor reminder during Friday's light squats. So I'll stick to the program. And this was the right weight for these reps at this time. I walked out from under the bar after the first set reminding myself that the first set is a lie. If that were true today, then the second, third, and fourth sets were also lies. I had no doubts about completing the sets, but each rep was slower than the previous, with the third rep of each set an exquisite grind to lockout. All good.
    - PC - Triples across. All good.
