    Great work!

" ...the algorithms lead to a completely schizophrenic listening experience."
    Isn't that their intent now?
You can't break what's already broken. Just saying.

It's astounding how many hip-hop and R&B tunes have sampled that KC groove.

Notes This was yesterday's scheduled workout, but I slept like crap, then fell asleep a bit before the alarm. Turned that noisy bugger off and slept great for a couple of extra hours. By the time I woke up, there wasn't time for this before I had to head off to cover a shift at the gig. It turned out to be a good thing, as I spent the shift reflecting on how I was programming the next few weeks. I have a couple of large-block events that will keep me away from the rack and bar, and I was trying to cram in all of the programming before those events. That would likely lead to an injury. Either that, or an uncomfortable time when I don't need it to be. So it turned out to be a good thing, a chance to reflect and refocus.
    - OP - Heavy sets across. Mis-loaded 152.5lbs, but caught it before the first set. Smooth and pretty steady. The first set cruised nicely, leading me to believe that the extra 2.5lbs would have been fine. Then sets 2-4 reminded me that the last rep of each would have been an absolute grind. I don't mind those, but that's not what the program calls for right now. All good.
    - BP - Light sets across. All good.

    Notes
    - SQ - Heavy sets across. Heavy but steady. The first set was kind of a lie, the middle two sets went fine, and the last set was also, save for the last two reps, which started to approach noisy grind territory. But there was never any doubt. All good. I definitely needed to bump the rest periods to 7 minutes. Had I done these with my standard 5 minutes of a few cycles ago, I wouldn't have got this last set, I'm sure of that. The tough part is accepting the 25+ minutes of rest during these worksets. Sure, I could start the Cleans, but these are the priority and I'm not willing to compromise them for a small bit of time savings.
    - PC - Heavy sets across. Pretty ugly, including a good shin gusher, but they got done. Time to get them looked at.

Notes Returning after a short mid-week getaway. We ran across a couple of state lines to get to a concert (Robert Plant & Alison Krauss), which was canceled just hours before showtime. Influenza was the reason given. So we punted and had a great date night/overnight before getting back yesterday. Many plates spinning in the sky right now.

Notes I had a fun realization today as I finished the HDLs, comparing where I am today to how I performed during my one and only Rookie Powerlifting Meet. That was before the 'Vid derailed everything and before I realized that I need to fight to maintain strength during the snowboard season, instead of starting NLP from scratch every spring. That meet pre-dates this electronic log, but in September 2019, at 51 and 225lbs, I went 314/209/358 for all-time PRs across the board. Today, my "Light" Squat is 315x5x3, "Light" Bench is 215x5x3, and my "Light" Halting Deadlift is 355x8. Not bad for an inconsistent old guy who's only a slightly fluffy 15lbs heavier.
    - HDL - Heavy set. Smooth. Steady. Brutal. All good.
    - SQ - Light sets across. All good.
