    185x2
    225x1
    275x1
    325x1 hook
    370x5 straps

Music — Top picks from SiriusXMs 1st Wave, Billy Idol's Live Transmission, No Rhyme or Reason, 4/12/22 - Simple Minds, Waterfront; Ministry, Work For Love; Moby, Extreme Ways.

Notes — After wiping my Bride out over the weekend, the crud hit me hard yesterday and I just didn't have the gumption to do a workout of any sort, now matter how well-programmed it was. I pretty much slept through most of any movie that she put on for me. I don't have time today and still feel run down, but needed/wanted to squeeze in this heavy pull before being away from the house & weights for a spell.
    - RP — It went fine, although having my nose running off my face during the work set was a bit distracting.

Thank you! It was nice to be able to pull that feeling that way. The crud has been slow to leave, but that seems to be the going rate these days with folks everywhere.

Music — Top picks from SiriusXMs Liquid Metal, Corridor of Covers, Rarities Collection, Vol II, 4/21/22 — Necrophobic vs Slayer, Die By The Sword; Thy Will Be Done vs N.I.N., March Of The Pigs; Flotsam & Jetsam vs Black Sabbath, Fairies Wear Boots; Wrathchild America vs Pink Floyd, Time.

Notes — Bonus day #1. With my travel schedule, I wasn't planning on being able to get under the bar until late next week. But a planned multi-day float down a Montana river, one where river access requires winning a lottery slot, was called off the day before we were to put in; the water level is running ~25% of normal for this time of year, which meant that we'd be spending more time portaging than floating. We called it for safety reasons, as it's quite remote and that amount of portaging significantly increased opportunities for injury, even more so than if the water was running high. So we'll try for a slot next year. Now I'm home a day early and just in time for the next lottery win, which was being able to score a ticket for tonight's sold out tour opener for Sir Paul McCartney, an event that I had no expectation of attending. But they happened to release a handful of tickets this morning. Not the best seats, but seats nonetheless.
    - SQ - a repeat of 4/17/22, since that was the last squat workout. All good.
    - PC - +5lb on 4/17/22's session, since that was the last clean workout, which felt pretty light enough to make a larger jump. All good.

Hope the concert was good! We had tickets to see Ringo but it was postponed and then eventually cancelled over the past two years.

It was fantastic, even with my obstructed view behind and to the side of the stage, which meant that I missed most of the visual screen show and had to move around the arena a bit when they dropped a mid-stage screen to make for a "more intimate" show for those out front. He went for almost three hours straight.

Here's a good review of the show, with set list.

Music — Top picks from SiriusXMs Liquid Metal, Corridor of Covers, NEW Covers, 4/28/22 — Kapitur vs Sepultura, Roots Bloody Roots; Oceanhoarse vs Anthrax, Only; Vreid vs Rolling Stones, Paint It Black; Patriarchs In Black vs Led Zeppelin, Kashmir.

Notes — Bonus Day #2 (see above). With a fair bit of DOMS from Bonus Day #1.
    - OP - Same as 4/12/22, but not as smooth, not as strong, a result of my lack of frequency & consistency. All good.

    315x1 hook
    340x1 hook
    375x5 straps

Music — I listened, but didn't keep track (see note below).

Notes — Bonus day #3 (see above), but with much less time available. I had written squats into today's workout, but I have a very compressed schedule today. So I'll get the rack pulls done before being away for another spell.
    - RP - That 340x1 with a hook grip was a pleasant experience (seriously!). Usually after 3 plates I go mixed until the workset, which is always strapped. But I gave the hooks a try today and I had no concerns. I probably should have tried DOH for that 315x1. Re: workset 375x5 - I tried to focus on keeping my back tight throughout the entire set, as I did on 4/11/22, but it just wasn't too be. There's still a fair bit of DOMS from Thursday's Squats, with some from yesterday's press workouts sprinkled in no doubt, and a bit of overall tiredness. So that forced a full reset for each pull, which is fine; it just meant that this set went a bit slower than it did that day. All good.

Music — Top picks from SiriusXMs 1st Wave, Billy Idol's Live Transmission, 4/26/22 — Sex Pistols, Anarchy In The UK; Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds vs Waring's Pennsylvanians, Stagger Lee; Velvet Underground, Rock and Roll; David Bowie, Warszawa; Toots & the Maytals, Funky Kingston.

Notes — Time to get back at it between this week's trip to the Grand Canyon, where we put in many miles/day hiking, and another trip coming up soon. It's also time to start making the transition back to warm month programming (3x/week w/ a combination of HLM, TM, and NLP depending on the lift), even though I will have a few planned breaks over the coming two months.
    - SQ - No reset, same as 4/28 session. All good*.
    - OP - No reset, same as 4/29 session. All good*.
    - RP - +5lbs from 4/30 session, since this would be about the normal gap between sets of this lift. That 340x1 w/hook gave me a concern as soon as I tightened and pulled, but it broke and went up just fine. Then I misloaded 375 (last week's weight) for my workset, but caught it before I got going. The 380x5 was fine, but I realized after the fact that I was more focused on lifting with my hips than pushing against the floor. Hopefully I don't pay for that tomorrow.

*while I say "all good", the lack of frequency for both the squat and press were apparent, as these repeat weights were a bit tougher than they should have been, meaning that I'm getting closer to my ceiling for each lift thanks to gradual detraining. Perhaps a bit of lack of sleep the last few nights might have contributed to that, though.
