Yes, changing your focus to pushing the Earth away from the bar is a game changer. As part of that, if you aren't already, make sure that during your setup that you press your knees out to your arms. It's similar to keeping your knees out during the squat and does the same thing - loads tension into the hamstrings as you keep your hips high, which will help a lot as you press down on that platform.
