Deadlift 395x5
Squat 265x5x4
Good deadlift. Hard, but I got it done. Probably had another rep in me. I think I'll jump to 405 next week. After that I will probably move it down to triples unless I really feel like I've got more in the tank on that one.
Squats were brutal. The gym was not air conditioned, crowded, and extremely hot. I build up a lot of heat when I squat for sets across, even with some decent rest intervals. Patellar tendons feel rather sore. Funny enough, it's not the sharp sting I used to deal with, just plain old soreness. Think the lighter week also left me a little deconditioned.

Bench got a teensy bit grindy on that last set, but I think there's still more room here. Press was hard, but it's just gonna be that way after busting ass on the bench. Resetting these volume day weights seems to be pretty important when the programming is laid out like this.

Power Clean 142x3x3
Pulldown 232.5x5x3
Close to where I was before hurting my back on the squat. It was a hard grind, so I'm gonna move to triples for next week. Power cleans started good, ended really bad. Guess I'll reset them for next week. Pulldowns were hard once again, but made it to the chest on all the reps.

A rare good day today. Felt like I could've pressed these for triples. Bench was just peachy too. I wish more workouts went like this.

Deadlift was pretty hard. Think I'll go ahead and move to a triple next week. Squats were also hard, good thing the reset is coming next week. This workout sure does heat me up. I used my tighter sleeves this week, but I think they might be messing with circulation a bit.

Another banger of a workout. Felt like I could've done at least 260 on the bench, so 260 next week should be good. It's looking entirely possible I will end this run at a single of 275 or even higher. Presses felt a lot better than usual too.
It's looking like slamming down more carbs (to the tune of like 100 g more than normal) is making this possible. I'd been using whole milk as a cost cutting measure to get in more calories, but I think the fat isn't really useful, while the carbs absolutely are. Both today and thursday's great workouts came after eating a a ton of carbs the day before.

Pulldown 235x5x3
Squats were still a toughie, even with the rep taper. But squats feel hard even when a set is 2 reps out from failing. Reset power cleans and they came out fine. Pulldowns were hard at the end, barely touched the chest on that very last rep.

I don't know why, but something just feels wrong with my deadlifts at heavy weights. I don't know if I'm losing the back or what. I need to video it again I think. Doesn't help that the gym I use on fridays has no discernible air conditioning. It was hotter in there than it was outside. Probably gonna use the one I use on tuesdays from now on. The heat really gets me on the volume squats. Kinda perplexing how my upper body stuff seems to be exceeding expectations but my lower body stuff seems to be dragging.

Worked out at a different time of day since gyms closed early for memorial day, and right after a rather stressful morning. Still hit my lifts. Weirdly enough, the last set of 260 went up better than the first. Going for 262.5 next week, not moving to singles yet. Press was fine.
