    Deadlift 425x3
    Squat 255x5x4

Deadlift hit the upper back rounding problem again. It seems to happen once the bar gets to knee level. Squats were nasty and my knees are feeling it. This schedule is definitely not good for my squatting. Both days are imposing way too much of a stress I think.

    Bench 267.5x1x5
    Press 136x5x5

Forgot to weigh-in this morning, will do it tomorrow. Bench feels like the main issue I'm running into now is bar path. One of my singles touched too low and I had trouble getting it up, and then ones after it were easier. This is where I am starting to really experience the whole "handling 1RM weights is a skill you need to practice" thing. Press was just peachy, actually felt better than last week's.

    Weigh-in: 298.6 pounds

    Squat 340x2x3
    Deadlift 315x5x2
    Pulldown 167.5x12x3

Was tols my last squat rep was not too bad, so I'm gonna keep the ball a-rollin. Decided to try lighter deadlifts instead of power cleans today. I wanted to reinforce good technique on the deadlift with some more practice. I don't think it was too stressful. That wendler guideline of keeping it double overhand seems to be a good rule. Pulldowns were hard, but none of the reps missed touchdown on the chest. So 170 next week. Probably won't hit the chest on a rep or two at the end, if this one was any indicator.

    Press 168x1x5
    Bench 212.5x5x5

Last press was a grind, but I also had blood drawn shortly before heading to the gym, so I'm gonna keep going next week.

    Deadlift 430x3
    Squat 260x5x4

Heat was bad today. Had a bit of stress due to some work troubles. Boss seemed more fed up with the guys bellyaching than with me though, so I guess that's a good sign. Anyway, got the deadlifts done. Squats were rough. The body heat I generate on these training days is so fucking intense. I don't even need to rest long because I need to recuperate, it's because I need heat to dissipate.

    Weigh-In: 297.6

    Bench 270x1x3
    Press 137x5x5

Decided to call it at three singles on the bench. No slow grinds, but I never seem to have very drawn out grinds with the bench. It either goes or it doesn't. It'll only get hung up a second or two if it grinds, just a couple inches off the chest. I'll try another three singles next week with 272.5, then gauge from there. I'll probably do 275 the week after and call it a training max. No need to go apeshit trying to get another 5 pounds out of a 1RM. Presses were fine.

    Squat 205x5x2
    Deadlift 320x5x2
    Pulldown 170x12x3

Trying an "LM week" for the squat this week. A lot of soreness in areas that don't feel like muscle, namely the ankles and knees. The theory here is running it like an extended HLM workout to get a little more recovery in, I'll be going back to normal next week. Deadlifts were fine, though it's amazing how a weight so much lower than what I usually do can still feel heavy. Hate 12s on the pulldowns, but still managed to barely touch the chest on the last rep. Very likely next week's will be my last 12s workout.

    Press 169x1x3
    Bench 215x5x5

Presses were pretty tough. I think I'm gonna go ahead and do my "1RM"(training max, no peaking or anything else like worling up to a meet) upper body attempts next week with a 275 bench and a 170 press.

    Deadlift 435x3
    Squat 235x5x3

Tried the belt again on a whim today. I set it pretty damn tight, and made sure to pick my chest up high while putting it on, like I do for the bench. Seems to have done the trick, I was told my back was flat as a board for all three reps. But I'm definitely gonna do 2s next week. That third one was slow as hell. Today ends the "LM week" for my squats. I'll see how this goes come next tuesday. A lot of the lingering aches in the joints have lightened up already, so after this weekend I'm hoping I'll be relatively fresh to get back to work.

    Weigh-In: 293.4

    Bench 275x1
    Press 138x5x5

Bench took off a lot better than expected. I thought it'd be tough based on 270 last week but it went right up. This combined with a 4 pound weight drop too, is really odd. I really think the psych meds are making me weaker, and when I cut back on them, I get stronger.
