Update: I am now squatting in range of my 5 rep max. Did 285# today, and have no hip pain at all. I basically ended up resetting and letting my hip heal, if in fact it was injured. All I know is when I was squatting 290# my right hip hurt.
I ended up taking a few months off and restarting on the NLP. Now I'm good as new and closing in on my max strength numbers, with no fatigue or pain.

I need to update my experience from this thread: The stretching made it feel better for a few weeks, after which the trochanter pain returned. 365lbs and up for sets of 5 still irritates it.
