    Hi Mark,

I had to get my appendix out a few days ago (laparoscopic).

The surgeon advises 4-6 weeks before a return to lifting weights.

My plan is that after that time, I will reset to 185, 225, 155 and 95lbs for squat, dead, bench and press and progress back up with 10lb jumps.

Prior to surgery I was at 305, 345, 195 and 135lbs x5 for the above, respectively.

    Male, 31, 6'4'' 225lbs.

Do you agree with this plan? I am sure that your advice will be helpful.

I didn't wait nearly that long, and mine was an open procedure.

I am pleased to hear that you had a quick return to lifting.

I would be interested in hearing about your experience, or anyone else on the board...?

Do you think that the above reset and abbreviated linear progression is the best way to get back and exceed where I left off?

If you do reset, reset to where your deadlift is 60 pounds ahead of your squat.
