53 yrs old, 5'7", 250 lbs. Two and a half months into LP. Lifting in my garage.

Squatting and deadlifting twice a week. Benching and pressing once a week.

    Squat is at 205x5x3
    Deadlift is at 255x5x1

For several weeks now, I can't get up from a seated position without severe pain at the outside of both legs starting from the hips and continuing maybe 6-8 inches down my legs. If I'm sitting with my hips parallel or slightly below my knees, I have to mentally and physically brace myself to stand up. No issues while walking.

Doesn't affect my actual squatting once I'm warmed up, and I don't feel it at all while deadlifting, but it's no fun at all for normal life.

I don't want to really take a break from squatting but is that the best course of action? Stop for a couple of weeks, deload and restart the squat?

Get a strong massage therapist to give you an iliotibial band release. It will hurt, but should fix the issue immediately.
