Default Tinnitus and torticolis the morning after lifting

    Hi Rip,

I’ve been doing starting strength for seven months. Never felt better.

Then one day, I woke up with huge cervical pain, all upper back muscles contracted, general weakness and tinnitus (I’m 26).

This was 1 and a half years ago. The pain went away 100%, but the tinnitus come back every time I train. It appears the next morning and stays for days/weeks, often with difficulty turning the neck to one side headaches, nausea and dizziness.

I finally went to a doctor a few days ago, he talked nonsense about emotions causing it and stress and relaxation techniques. So I went to emergencies, where they did a CT scan of the brain and blood test, found nothing.

Not sure what to do. It is very handicapping. Thoughts ? Ever seen anything like that ?

Never heard of it or experienced it myself. My tinnitus is constant. Sounds like you need a neurology consultation.
