Not trying to be needlessly pedantic, but, what other options do you have outside of actually paying a coach to make sure that you are programming and performing your dreaded exercise correctly? It may come as a shock to most, but, your technique on one form check, especially one that you are getting for free, is not the same as having a coach watch every single one of your reps with exacting detail.
Hey Will, I never truly distinguished myself as a trainee who necessarily NEEDS a coach (as of right now). I would like to however develop into a stronger and more efficient lifter, but it's just my life right now outside the gym conflicts with the dedication of paying a good coach for programming, rehab modifications, etc. I've already started working on deadlifts and the less I focus on the pain, the better I feel and perform without having my nerves get the best of me. Most I've pulled was 440lbs x2 pre-injury and I'm slowly making my way by adding weight (10-15lbs) per deadlift session. Yesterday, I pulled 355 with no hassle, despite the overall weakness since I haven't touched a deadlift that heavy since the spring.
