Impinged shoulder- bench press.
I made some small adjustments to my bench due to form creep and managed to impinge my right shoulder. I followed the SS “how to bench press” video from YouTube; the only changes I made to my form was keeping my elbow more tucked, and keeping my shoulders more pinched. The work set was 1x5@257.5, a very manageable weight for me that should not have caused issues.
That was last week. This week, I couldn’t lower the bar more than a few inches without impinging my R shoulder at weights over 225#.
My right arm felt weak during the warmups but there was no impingement or pain. This was using my previous form and setup.
Squats, presses, deadlifts, and general living don’t cause pain. Replicating the movement pattern of the bench press (standing up, sitting, or lying down) does.
Looking for assistance rehabbing, programming so I can keep benching and general advice.
