Who makes the original Texas Power Bar?

The links below contain conflicting information.

One claims it was invented by Buddy Capps and manufactured by Capps Welding. The other claims it was Doug Patterson and is manufactured by Mac Barbell.

Which one is correct?

Buddy made them for Doug, if I remember correctly. They are sold now by both companies, and I have both here in the gym. Three of the ones I've had for 25 years are still straight. I don't know the actual story on the current two bars, but maybe Croxdale does.

Are both of your bars 29mm?

I ask because the bar in the first link is 28mm which i thought was a bit strange.

My old ones are all 28.5, the best size ever made.
