Back Hyperextension

I teach the Squat to my girlfriend and I am trying to prevent her from doing exactly what this girl does (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qbBsn7IbPU
), which from what I understand is an example of good Squat form : She is hyper extending her back, especially on the first half of her way up.
I am puzzled, isn’t this very dangerous for this girl’s back? I thought the back had to be straight, not curved. The men demonstrating the squat in the videos (from the SS site) do not do it.
I remember I saw a picture of a girl do the same thing on your second edition of SS.

I feel that you are wrong about her back position, which is clearly not hyperextended. But you may train your girlfriend any way you choose.
