Going three inches too deep causes you to give up a lot of potential weight on the bar. Other than that they are good.
Started doing the SS routine detailed on page 155 of Practical programming a week ago. Recently recovering from tearing my Achilles tendon (completed my physio) so I want to make sure I am doing my squats properly.
Two videos below hope the quality is ok:
Started on 35kg and now up to 50kg.
Cheers,

Rip,
This gives me confidence that someone is still alive that can read and comprehend the English language. He has, except for depth, not only correctly interpreted the instructional material on the squat, but also the programming. Amazing.
Welcome to the island, Will. There are relatively few inhabitants. Now show us a good deadlift.
Cheers, I will get some deadlift vids next time they come around as I did them today. Got to break out my 20kg plates which isn't a lot but felt pretty good all the same.
As for squats didn't go down as far today, tried to be more aware of when I hit that stretchy feeling in the back of my upper legs and come up when I feel the tension in that (I think that makes sense). Anyway before I had been pushing through that not wanting to not be going low enough. Result was that my squats felt more tight and powerful and I got my 55kg today easier than those sets of 50kg on Sunday.
