I have trouble with presses on friday if I have a heavy deadlift workout on monday.
I pulled 545 last week after my squat workout, a 1rm PR, but the rest of the week sucked because of it.

Rip, using the same scenario as above (330 clean vs. 600 deadlift), could this person deadlift 315-350lbs 3-5 times a week? Assuming of course, that working on the Olympic lifts 3-5 times a week is appropriate for the training level of this fictional person.

Why would anybody want to do 55% of 1RM deadlifts as work AT ALL?

Even that is a bit light for speed work...
