The bolded part is not a typo -- it's how the program works.
I don't know if this has already been addressed, but I didn't see it in the results of a search of the site. I'm guessing it's just a carry-over mistake from the 2nd edition since you tweaked the order of the exercises. On page 296 of SS: 3rd Edition, it says:
"After the first couple of weeks, you squat every workout and alternate the bench press and press, and the deadlift and power clean. This schedule is for three days per week, allowing a tow-day rest at the end of the week. It will mean that one week you press and power clean twice, and the next week you bench and deadlift twice.
The bolded part is not a typo -- it's how the program works.
The only typo I see is in your post.
Typo in a typo post. The Typocalypse.
Workout A: Squat/Press/Deadlift
Workout B: Squat/Bench Press/Powerclean
Week 1:
Mon: Squat/Press/Deadlift
Wed: Squat/Bench Press/Powerclean
Fri: Squat/Press/Deadlift
Press and Deadlift twice
Week 2:
Mon: Squat/Bench Press/Powerclean
Wed: Squat/Press/Deadlift
Fri: Squat/Bench Press/Powerclean
Bench Press and Power Clean twice
Unless I've understood wrong (very possible) I definitely did not DTFP :-)
Perhaps I'm missing something. The exact same page of this quoted text shows the Workout A/Workout B exercises grouped as "Squat, Press, Deadlift" and "Squat, Bench Press, Power Clean."
This guy is thinking that you must press w/PC and bench w/deadlift or something like that. Correct him.
Oh my. I've been doing the order from the 2nd Edition still with the squat, bench, deadlift being Workout A. Should I switch to Squat, press, deadlift and squat, bench, power clean? If so, I imagine it'll be good timing since tomorrow is my first day of the week for lifting, but I don't want to do ress again if I'm not recovered properly from Thursday. Sorry. Didn't want to make another thread.
