Strange noises from Lumbar spine
Age: 43
Gender: Male
Training Status: Advanced Novice
Complaint: Tightness in lumbar area plus two incidents where I "heard" something in the lumbar area.
On Saturday, the right side of my lumbar area was a bit tight.
I completed 3x5 x 368 back squats, then benched, then deadlifted.
On the third rep of my work set, I felt a small "click", so finished my workout at that point.
Yesterday, my right lumbar area was sore: putting on my left sock was a struggle, for example. I used a foam roller and a tennis ball to release the muscles. I could squat bodyweight to full depth without aggravating anything.
Today, I bent over to get stuff out of a bag, and felt a significant "clunk" from the right side of the spine.
It is probable that I didn't maintain my lumbar curve for this.
I don't have any significant change in the level of soreness, and can still squat bodyweight without any problem.
How concerned should I be about this?

Have you not previously noticed that your back makes noises? Chiropractors make a living by generating them. Sometimes they are beneficial, sometimes they indicate problems. Sounds like the first time was a problem and the second time wasn't.
