Nothing Earth-shattering here, other then the smoothness and ease of the press.

Why is he wasting time doing this slow stuff overhead?

Saw the video earlier and wondered the same thing. Is he even in the national team right now?

He's a washed-up has-been, never had a chance anyway, because he was too strong.

From what I hear his father was in the lifting committee and is no longer, and the person replacing him never had much of a liking to the Klokovs. Akkaev seems to be out as well.

"Good riddance!" I say. He was a negative influence on too many people, what with all his emphasis on strength.

Wait, why isn't he doing fast stuff? Oly lifting is fast, so training should be fast? Where's the FAST?>

Damn straight. Strength is ruining weightlifting.

I wonder when the Jamaican national team will bring in Usain Bolt. He's so damn fast, he'd be a shoe-in for the gold.

This probably was posted already but it's a power clean + strict press of 157kg (title says his best is 170kg) by Klokov from a few years ago. He's getting old and his lifts aren't where they used to be, so we may not see much from him and Akkaev anymore though. Russia's got an swarm of young guys looking to take their spot.
