    Mark,

I went to see an orthopedic surgeon several years ago. I found out that my left shoulder had a Type II AC joint. My right shoulder had a Type III AC Joint, a bone spur, and a torn supraspinatus. The surgeon removed the bone spur, opened up the AC joint a bit, and repaired the supraspinatus. My right shoulder feels fine now. But I continue to struggle with tendinitis in my left shoulder. The surgeon said that it will be more likely to catch when lowering a weight, as opposed to raising a weight. I have seen that to be true.

In your experience, have you found it to be true that Type II or III AC joints tend to be problematic? Have you made any particular adjustments, or emphasized anything in particular, in pressing mechanics, or do the correct mechanics that you teach make this a mute point?

Does that perhaps mean that the different AC joint types is a non-issue and you have never had to deal with it?
