Manly Mixed Drinks
There are a few.
Grog, my modern version of the Royal Navy staple drink:
1.5 oz Pusser's Navy Rum
4.5 oz Texas rain water
0.5 oz Rose's Lime
0.5 oz Lime juice, fresh or bottled
Arrggh.

I had no idea. The Margarita is an acceptable drink, and I drink one occasionally, but I am told that it is not Manly.

Manly, and, as mentioned on page 25 of PPST3, makes for an adequate source of hydration. One liter per 1000 calories expended, right? Good thing the day is still young.

Vodka & soda is a pretty manly basic drink. As a Finn, we may drink that after winning USA tonigth in Olympic Ice Hockey 5-0 to win bronze medals. (Yes, maybe hockey isn't that big in Texas AND yes, we lost to Swedes in the semi-finals, but still a pretty good show for a pesky little country as we did eliminate Russians from medal games.)

I think a mixed drink has to contain spirits. Mixtures of beers are simply attempts to combine beer flavors. Now, a Boilermaker is a Manly drink.
You must be a girl. Like pineapple juice and orange juice, Coke is designed to hide the alcohol, and Men don't do such things. We know what we're drinking, and we want to taste it. This, of course, presents problems for vodka-based drinks.

Manly name, manly drink, Dark 'N' Stormy. Measurement's are: slop in more than enough dark rum, top up the remaining 1/2" of empty glass with a dash of ginger beer.
Even the mixer has a manly word in it.
