Starting Strengh Newbie with QL issues
Rip,
I just starting SS and am pumped about it. However, about 8 years ago I tore my QL and now that I am squatting with correct form, I my QL feels pulled. It's not spasming, but feels strained. Is it possible that I am over extending my lumbar during the squat and putting this strain on an already damaged QL? Any advice would be greatly appreciated - I'd love to improve my squat.

Am I to assume that you're referring to your quadratus lumborum? Am I supposed to be able to tell the difference between "pulled", "spasming", and "strained"? Am I supposed to assess a lumbar overextension by telepathy?
