It doesn't look that way. The sign up form is still up at:

    Rip -

Sorry if this is a dumb question. Is the Starting Strength seminar prize based on Wilks total? I'm walking around in the 153 range and wondering if there's any reason to make 67.5 for the meet. Not that I expect to win, but a man can dream.

    Thanks!

We'll use the Schwartz formula, probably.

Thanks for the answer. I'll worry about strong and forget about 67.5.

Does that work better with press than Wilks, or is it just your go-to formula?

It was developed for powerlifting. The women's version is the Malone formula.

We will be using Wilks. All of these formulas have their pluses and minuses. We chose Wilks for the purposes of this event since it is used by both the USAPL and IPF and has at least a recent attempt at independent verification. We could have as easily used Schwartz/Malone. Is Wilks appropriate for the press? Eh, who knows? None of the powerlifting formulas used the press, so they all are probably compromised in that regard.
