They are apparently being televised in the US on BeIN Sports. I only found this out by accident so thought I would share in case anyone else was interested in watching and was as unaware of this as I was. The commentary is diabolically poor, but it's better than nothing.

Speaking of which, the collar was not secured on the left side of the bar for a certain lifter. As he stood up from a clean, he got lopsided, the weights slipped off the left side and the barbell shot up into his chin. Sounds made up, but I'm serious. I'm unable to find anything on YouTube, but if you've got Instagram you can find the video by searching "nikeweightlifting", and clicking on the latest video.

The commentary on Eurosport is fucking atrocious. Criticising the form of the Chinese lifter in the 63kg class, who went on to win and set a new world record. One among many infuriating transgressions.

    Still, enjoyable enough to watch.

They're also actually in the US, which is rare enough that it almost me wish I was back in Houston. The field is pretty dilute at the heavier classes; seems like the big dogs are saving up for Rio.

These are technique lifts, after all. Strength is secondary.
