Not a huge fan of horror movies, but The Ring freaks me out.

If you agree that WWII would have been better if it had involved more cannibal zombies, like I do, then Overlord is a fun movie.

How do you right-wingers feel about True Grit (2010)? How closely does it approximate the Starting Strength ethos?

I saw it last night and was impressed with Jeff Bridges

I might be handing in my man card with this recommendation, but Still Mine with James Cromwell is a fantastic movie. It's a romance, yes, but it's also a true story about a man trying to build his own home, protect his dying wife, and an interfering government.

Haven't seen it yet. I'll report.

So, Winter Soldier remains my favorite. InFinity Wars was good, but relied too much on CGI and special effects for my taste. I'd like to see the 3-hour version, as the edit was choppy. But it was entertaining.

If you are a fan of the Cohen Brothers style of drama and quirky/dark humor as well as westerns, then you absolutely must find The Ballad of Buster Scruggs on Netflix. It has an incredible cast and it's a collection of short stories. The first two shorts are pretty funny, the next are pretty good snippets of what life may have been like, but the last one is just excellent story telling. No action, but an excellent watch nonetheless.

I've mentioned it before, but Used Cars is really a brilliant little gem of a dark comedy. Funny as hell, boobs, cute little dog named Toby, Kurt Russell, the whole 9 yards.
