Yes, this was a good one. About Gallipoli in WWI, shares some plot elements with Saving Private Ryan. Crowe is one of the best actors of the past 30 years.

If you like horrific and disturbing things, watch the remake of Suspiria (the 2018 version). If you were a huge fan of the first one, you may not like it, but on it's own it's a cool horror movie. Amazon Prime has it now.

A movie that I would highly suggest is “The Book Thief” follows an adopted girl in Nazi Germany. It’s a few years old but damn good. Not a lot of action but a good reminder of why socialism is not a good idea.

Watched Ghost in the Shell again last night. It's a damn good film.

I haven't seen that one but a mate told me it was sort of the precursor to the Matrix films, would you say so?

This is the single most completely fucked-up movie I have ever seen. And I don't mean that in a good way. Drop acid before watching and it will make more sense.

Rip, of all the information you’ve passed to me, convincing me to revisit and finish Deadwood was probably the best. I’m currently re-watching the entire series for a second time.

One of the best ever. If only it had an ending... and now it does.

It has the best ending I've seen in a long time.
