I watched Gran Torino over the weekend. Always have time to enjoy Clint Eastwood movies. Whilst this is not his best film, it is still a wonderful individual performance, which undoubtedly saves what would otherwise be a fairly average movie. As with most Eastwood films, there are many cracking one-liners. I was particularly amused when he called the priest "an over educated 27 year old virgin" and told a gang of youths "ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have fucked with? That's me". And the best co-star award goes to the beautiful 1972 Gran Torino for which the film is named. Just a fantastic automobile.

Watched "The Lighthouse" a couple of nights ago. What the heck. Even harder to follow the boundary between reality and illusion than Inception. More disturbing than Annihilation. Sinister echoes of Waiting for Godot?

Didn't appreciate it. Not insightful. Not real. Not inspiring. Not interesting.

Yes agreed. That movie fucking rules. Willem Dafoe's monologues are incredible. The dialogue between him and Robert Pattinson is fantastic.
