Wind River is one of those that I save for watching in winter if I'm snowed in. Also on my list:

The Thing (the 1980s one, obviously)
The Shining - currently I'm reading the book
    The Gray
    Misery
    Hateful 8
    The Revenant
    Fargo
    Rambo First Blood

If anyone has more suggestions of bleak, wintry films, please let me know. I've heard that Jeremiah Johnson might fit, so I'll give that a try.

Death Line / Raw Meat (US), 1972

Donald Pleasance investigates a group of cannibals who dwell in the recesses of the Victorian built London Underground tunnels. Insane.

This may be the greatest bleak rainy scene in movie history: 1992's Unforgiven: Final Scene

    Behold the pale horse
And the man who sat on him was Death
    And Hell followed with him

Watched John Wick again last night. Man that is a good film.

Could one of you who knows more about guns tell me why he changes pistols when he is in the basement when he could have liked the guy who stole his car?
