Then too there was the much overlooked and grim movie, The Hill. The King's army and square bashing at it's finest.

I watched Gran Torino over the weekend. Always have time to enjoy Clint Eastwood movies. Whilst this is not his best film, it is still a wonderful individual performance, which undoubtedly saves what would otherwise be a fairly average movie. As with most Eastwood films, there are many cracking one-liners. I was particularly amused when he called the priest "an over educated 27 year old virgin" and told a gang of youths "ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have fucked with? That's me". And the best co-star award goes to the beautiful 1972 Gran Torino for which the film is named. Just a fantastic automobile.

Thanks for the recommendation for Wind River.
Watched it last night, thought about it all day today. Keep the suggestions coming.

    Great flick. Fun and entertaining.

Didn't appreciate it. Not insightful. Not real. Not inspiring. Not interesting.
The Lighthouse was amazing and unforgettable.
A style of movie making like no other. Possibly the best visuals/ cinematography in years. The acting was incredible. Story line/ screenplay was genius.
    Can’t say enough about it.

Maybe I found it depressing. The final scenes, ugh.

So I am a boor. But, my son loved it.

Yes agreed. That movie fucking rules. Willem Dafoe's monologues are incredible. The dialogue between him and Robert Pattinson is fantastic.

Book of Eli, in my opinion, was absolutely tremendous.
