    True in part, but don't forget the races against the clock. LeMond like many other multiple Tour winners was a beast in the time trials. And those always suck.

    I"d run with the above definition (pun unintended), set your goal/s, understand which pathway/s most affect the performance of that goal and what work is needed to most efficiently improve said pathway/s and reach your goal/s.

    As an aside heavy 5's work every pathway, running predominantly works one. Take from that what you will.
