Apropos! Been wondering about that. I've reduced my warmups quite a bit, and pretty much eliminated them once I'm through my work sets for the day. Being a geezer, doing so seems to let me bring more intensity to my work sets, and I've seen no disadvantage so far.
One thing I still wonder: Is there any training effect lost from the warmup volume eschewed, or is that more than offset by the additional intensity brought to the work sets? Tossup?
