Swogger's Revenge: Your injury isn't shit.

Another amazing story.
I do relate to the fear of adding 2.5lbs and having your spine explode or knees collapse.
It is irrational though, because human tissue adapts to the increasing loads over time, unlike a bridge or a vehicle which basically just gets weaker over time.

Wow, great story. Sucks it had to happen the way it did though.

Got to the powerlifting pictures and got a bit emotional.
Amazing story. "I’m not suppose to be able to do any of [this]".
Love it. Good on you Matthew Swogger.

Your injury isn't shit.
Very true. Those are spectacular X-rays.
Congratulations on a phenomenal recovery. And to your surgeons.

Yeah, but you don't understand, my piriformis tightness like REALLY hurts sometimes you guys. (Great article, great story.)

Lots of respect for you!
Stories like this should be included in new gym members paperwork when they sign up.
Being weak is a choice.

Was ready to head for bed last night when I saw this pop up on my phone.
It took me a while to read through it, as I finished reading I told myself I was glad I stayed up to read it all.
Thank you for your service.

Damn, that is impressive -- and crazy well written, too.

Thanks for sharing, Matt. Another great contribution to this board.
The articles and videos that have been coming out recently discussing the phenomenon of pain have been tremendous. It's interesting to read Swogger's article in light of Dr. Baraki's recent discussion about the biopsychosocial model of pain.
High-quality stuff - I appreciate this community.
