    Rip:

Are you aware of any tendency towards more injuries when doing pull ups with palms facing the body as opposed to palms facing out? I have a bit of elbow tendon pain with palms facing in and none with palms facing out. As a matter of fact, I think that over doing them and trying to work through pain gave me 'golfer's' elbow a few years back...

Not aware of it. Maybe you're overgripping the bar, or using a fat bar.

Funny you should mention it. I was using a fat bar when I got Golfer's elbow. Thanks, Rip.

There is almost certainly a relationship between pull ups and increased shoulder injuries than with chin ups.
