Weightlifting belts
Rippetoe, what is your general opinion on weightlifting belts. Particularly, should they be used with your SS program? I have not been using belts out of concern that they might weaken my core stabilizers and either slow my gains or make me more prone to injury.

This is covered in my book. Use a belt when you need to, not when you don't. You determine your need, based on injury status, strength level, and training goals.
