    Hello Mr. Rippetoe,

I've read about doing some other training like cf or sprinting with SS but nothing about rock climbing. Do you think that climbing 1-2 times for a couple hours per week would interfere with strength gains from your great program? I am just starting it and am 17 if that helps. Thanks!

I think of rock climbing as a sport or activity that strength benefits, not something that is of itself training. But that depends entirely on the level at which you climb. Twight or Rob Miller obviously climb hard enough to produce enough stress that it would need to be taken into consideration in a barbell training program they were doing. I don't know about you; it might. You'd know more about how hard you climb, and whether it would constitute a training effect in and of itself that might interfere with your barbell program.
