    Thank you sir.
Did you even train if you didn't video and post it to the gram?

In all seriousness, if you don't have an SSC watching you, and you aren't videoing your lifts for your own sake to watch it and see your form, then you are doing it wrong.

Does placing the phone low on the floor make the body angles look off? I would think having the phone around 2-3 feet off the floor (hip height) would be best.

^^ Yes, everyone needs a healthy rashing from a SSOC at least once a week. Me--I get yelled at 3 times/week because I am special.

Just when you think you are perfect and the barbell gods have smiled on your latest PR, Matt or one of his henchmen (or henchwomen) will look at your video and serve you up an entire plate of humble pie. Ahhh...the never ending contest between your brain while you are squatting, "Damn I'm cool--check out all these plates!" and your phone after the lifts, "wow...I suck."

But if you really want a dose of reality--lift with Rip. I give cautions in advance to the thin skinned. Rip will not tolerate lifts above parallel--not even in YOUR OWN GYM! No load on the bar is heavier than Rip's eyes.

As a PSA, Ive been using a "rokform" magnetic phone case for videoing sets. The advantage is that most gym have a lot of ferrous surfaces (plates, racks, machines, columns, etc) to stick the phone to. The biggest problem is that most gyms are arranged neatly so that surfaces are either perpendicular or parallel to where you are lifting. The case likes to stick flat. You end up moving stuff around anyway to get the desired angled shots.

Our Magnets will not harm your phone guaranteed! - Rokform

With all due respect, I think there are 100s of other qualified people to analyze form and provide high qualify feedback, I can provide a list if needed

Haha, it's not surprising to me that I've been doing it wrong. Still new to much of this. I have had friends take videos from time to time in the past, but I don't have a trained eye to recognize the little things that need to be fixed. I'm a kinesthetic learner, so much of the time I get things mostly right just by doing them, and if I do them very wrong I know it intuitively. I can also see myself as I'm doing a lift to a degree, because of the walls of mirrors around me, though that's obviously not even close to everything. I completely understand the value of having one of you SSC's evaluate my lifts for the things I can't see or feel.

As for why I haven't videoed my lifts for a SSC to observe sooner.... I happened upon this community only a little while ago. So I'm on it.

Lol, but as for the other comments...

I don't use instagram. My self-value is not at all determined or affected by the opinion of another human being. I simply am, where I am. Accurate assessment of where I am is welcome, even if it is criticism. How else can we improve? Haha, it's impossible to hurt or offend me. I've found that life is a lot less stressful that way. I'm already my own worst critic, so don't hold back!

Videos coming soon. Better to post them in this thread, or in the aforementioned other forum specifically designated for such things?

That is true, but not all coaches are familiar with the SS model and being that the OP posted his question on the SS forums, it is a reasonable assumption to make that he is using the SS model for his lifts. If that is the case, then Matt's comment that feedback from an SSC would be helpful is nothing that should draw the ire from anyone here. Let's not try to stir something up on here over something as innocuous as Matt's reply.

With all due respect, I think you're being deliberately obtuse to stir shit up.

You'll fit right in over at the training forum where outrage over regular-ass training talk and ideas is currently fashionable.
