Fine with me. Lots of people do it that way. Just don't let an assistance exercise interfere with your bench and press.

I wonder if I could introduce weighte1d chin-ups 3x5 before reaching 3x15+ reps. The reason is that I find it much easier to focus (it's a mental thing) on accomplishing 3x5 reps instead of 3x15/failure (I am doing currently 6/5/4 reps atm). Does it make sense? or should I just continue the program and forget about it?

No interference, Chin ups is the last exercise anyway so, it 's with whatever strength left after bench/press.
If there is interference, it will be noticed during the following workout.
